Image of a gold star In their first year of teaching, 92% of our teachers score in the “effective” range of Louisiana’s teacher evaluation system.

LRCE piloted online training modules, and nearly all of our participants stated that they preferred program experiences that online training simply could not provide. Here’s what a few had to say:

“One of the best parts about the LRCE course is the interaction participants get with each other and experts in the field. The in-person discussions are incredibly enlightening, and that simply isn’t available in an online format. Even with an added “discussion board” type of component, this person-to-person interaction is almost always lacking in online courses.” – Erika Poarch, Baton Rouge, LA
“I get more out of the actual seminars at LRCE since techniques are usually modeled for us and I get to hear ideas from other practitioners.” – Jessica Eiermann, Hammond, LA
“An important part of learning and understanding is hearing what other people have to say about a topic or being able to hear others’ experiences and let those help shape our opinions and enhance our knowledge.” – Lauren Wolfanger, Denham Springs, LA
“I overanalyzed all of the [online] questions, and felt like I missed out on a lot without having the face-to-face. I enjoy getting to hear how other people implement things in their classrooms because it helps me come up with my own ideas.” – Emily Webre, Brusly, LA
